1. On a scale of 1 to 10, how are you at waiting (with 1 being “I tear
out my hair” and 10 being “I always look forward to waiting.”)?
Read Luke 1:26-38

2. The first people we meet in Luke’s Gospel are all people who are
waiting. Does that seem like a strange way to start a story? Why or
why not?

3. Mary is one of those waiting. Read the following verses and answer
the following questions: a) What do you learn about waiting from
these verses? b) In light of this, why do we have difficulty waiting? c)
How can we practice this kind of waiting?
